Store Configuration Data

To connect SalesBar to your Shopify store, we collect:

• Your Shopify store domain
• Timezone and currency preferences
• Webhook signing secret (for secure data transmission)
• License key (for app activation)

Sales Data

SalesBar receives sales metrics from your store:

• Daily revenue totals
• Order counts
• Recent order information (order ID, amount, date)
• Customer names/emails (for recent order display only)

Technical Data

For app functionality and support:

• App version and macOS version
• Error logs (when issues occur)
• License verification data

App Functionality

• Display your sales metrics in the menu bar
• Send real-time notifications for new orders
• Verify your license and manage trial periods
• Provide customer support when requested

We DO NOT Use Your Data For:

• Advertising or marketing to you
• Selling to third parties
• Analytics or usage tracking
• Any purpose other than app functionality

Local Storage

Your store configuration and license information are stored securely on your Mac using the macOS Keychain. This data never leaves your device except for necessary API communications.

Cloud Storage

We maintain minimal cloud infrastructure to:

• Process webhook data from Shopify
• Verify license keys
• Store aggregated sales data (revenue/order counts only)

All cloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption.

Data Retention

• Sales metrics: Retained for 90 days for performance
• License data: Retained for the lifetime of your license
• Support communications: Retained for 2 years
• Error logs: Automatically deleted after 30 days

Shopify Integration

SalesBar connects to Shopify's webhook system to receive order notifications. We only receive the data you configure Shopify to send. We are not affiliated with Shopify Inc.

Payment Processing

License purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment information. Please refer to Stripe's privacy policy for details on payment data handling.

Cloud Infrastructure

Our backend services run on Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS provides enterprise-level security and complies with various privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA.

Data Access and Deletion

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of your data
• Request deletion of your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Stop using SalesBar at any time

Data Portability

You can export your store configuration and sales data at any time through the SalesBar interface. Contact support if you need assistance with data export.

Opt-Out Options

You can disable specific features:

• Turn off order notifications in app settings
• Disable automatic app updates
• Remove webhook integration from Shopify Admin
